GPS units generally limit the number of characters used for the the waypoint Name. For this reason, Rogue River GPS includes three GPX files: One has 6 characters for the waypoint Name, the second file uses 10 characters and the third file uses 14 characters. All three files are provided when you purchase Rogue River GPS so you can decide which file to import into your GPS unit. If you are not sure what character length your GPS unit is capable of displaying as a Name, it's best to contact the manufacturer. This is not meant to be an inclusive list, but the character lengths of some GPS units are listed at the bottom of this page.
The table below provides the BLM campsite name as shown on their map, and the 6, 10, and 14 character abbreviations used in the GPX file.
